Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Blue Arenal. By booking a tour, transportation, or any service with us, or by using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking and Payment

Reservations: All bookings must be made online through our website, via email: info@bluearenal.com , or through an authorized representative.
Payment: Full payment or a specified deposit (depending on the tour or transportation service) is required to secure your reservation. We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and cash payment.
Currency: All prices are listed in USD (United States Dollars) unless stated otherwise.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our clients and our local guides and drivers:

Cancellations 12 days or more before the tour or transportation service must be requested via email info@bluearenal.com : 100% refund (minus any non-refundable transaction/credit card fees).
Cancellations between 48 and 72 hours before the tour or transportation service: 50% refund.
Cancellations less than 48 hours before the tour, transportation service or No-Shows: Non-refundable.
Late Arrivals on Tours: If you are late for your scheduled pick up or meeting time, the tour may leave without you, and no refund will be issued.

3. Changes and Cancellations by the Company

La Fortuna is a beautiful region known for its rainforests and the Arenal Volcano. Because of this, weather conditions can be unpredictable.

Weather & Safety: We reserve the right to cancel or modify any tour itinerary due to severe weather, safety concerns, natural disasters, or force majeure.
Alternative Options: In the rare event that we must cancel a tour, you will be offered an alternative date, a different tour of equal value, or a 100% full refund.

4. Physical Requirements and Health

Adventure Risks: Many of our tours involve physical activity (hiking, swimming, ziplining, rafting). Participants must be in good health and possess a level of fitness appropriate for the chosen activity.
Medical Conditions: You must inform us prior to booking of any medical conditions, pregnancy, physical disabilities, or severe allergies (especially to insect stings).
Right of Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse service to any participant who appears physically incapable of safely completing a tour, or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, without a refund.

5. Liability Waiver and Insurance

Assumption of Risk: By participating in our tours, you acknowledge that adventure tourism involves inherent risks (including unpredictable terrain, wildlife encounters, and weather changes).
Liability: Blue Arenal, its guides, and partners are not responsible for personal injury, illness, property damage, loss of personal items, or death during the tour.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical expenses, and adventure sports activities.

6. Conduct and Safety Regulations

Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by the tour guides and drivers at all times.
Respect for Costa Rica’s wildlife and environment is mandatory. Feeding, touching, or harassing animals and littering are strictly prohibited.
Disrespectful or dangerous behavior toward guides, staff, or other guests will result in immediate removal from the tour without a refund.

7. Photos and Marketing

During the tour, our guides or staff may take photos or videos for promotional purposes. By participating, you grant us permission to use these materials on our website and social media channels. If you prefer not to be filmed or photographed, please inform your guide before the tour begins.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising from our services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Costa Rica.
